That's exactly why we get him in school so much!

(I am hearing the voices of my french teachers in my ears right now on the subject of Prevert's simplicity of language and what this represents, aside from an easy poem to teach your students)

There were one or two poems of his that I liked - but we had to study so very many of them that I suspect this was simply a matter of odds...

They do have some kind of charm, but I do think he's widely over-rated by French teachers all around the world :(
