He's not! He's thinking about Brits not being able to read his poetry because they can't speak French and that gives his this tight, yet sorrowful expression! You're misreading everything!

I had a look on the back of that picture and it had something on it in the poet's own handwriting complaining about the way his butt plug was chafing.

You misunderstood - it was a complain about how little French the Brits really get, and all you could see in that was the inadvertant innuendo.
