They now make socks for ipods.

I have conflicting thoughts about this. Of course, any sock is welcome into my world, without consideration of colour, purpose, size or shape.

On the other hand, this could very well turn out to be the evil marriage breaker in our future ménage à beaucoup.

*suddenly feels compelled to add that I am not a sock fetishist. Despite appearances.*

*Blink* $29?! Considering the number of "single" socks I have, I could make a bloody fortune!

Take a regular, midcalf sock, cut off the foot, sew up the cut end, et voilà! I think the basic ipod sock is worth 50 cents - at most. The rest is the price of the Apple tag...

I have to admit that even my pervy mind boggled a bit. I mean, ipods are teh cool thing to have, and socks are über-cool (of course), but ipod socks???

I think that I might not be emotionally ready to open my boundless lurve to them. I would keep trying to twist them into a more socially accepted shape, and that would make for a bad group dynamic in an otherwise faultless MAB (ménage à beaucoup).

On a brighter note, Nanny Mcphee is out at last over here :-D

Socks are love. When I want to make a special present to my mom, I buy her a bunch of goofy, colorful socks.

I was wondering why exactly you were introducing a young boy into otherwise perfectly normal sock/Colin Firth/bad pun perversion...

Oh, I wasn't worrying about him. It's just the thought of sock!porn pictures being traded in boy scout circles that seemed slightly bothering.

I am having nasty thoughts about the term 'self-insert' now.

This was fit of giggle #2245 today.

Life would be dull and uneventful without you and socks.

They breathe. Or, more to the point, they don't. They just exist. And the existence of such an un-sock like shape on a sock is an insult to the universe we live in. Plus, it gives me a nice opportunity to exercise the kinkier side of myself *sadistic grin*

Plus, socks are literally made to endure clamps, pulling and stretching:

Then it won't be necessary for me to point to the background of, say, this picture?

I went to see the film, of course. (CF was a bit disapointing here, btw); then I googled it to find a relevant picture. Sadly, I found none of one of the girls actually fiddling with the socks.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

*iz shocked*

No, in fact the movie itself is not bad except that it's obviously made for little children; it flows well, is believable, and does not resemble similar stories too much.

The bad point is that CF looks a bit older in the film. Not in a bad way, of course, he's still himself, but, well, he's definitely no Mr. Darcy here.

The main thing you missed is "his" eldest daughter sitting on the counter at the back of the picture, hanging muticoloured socks on a makeshift clothesline - a piece of anthology, that scene it almost made me think that we sock fetishists were not alone in the wide world.

Well, by "made for children" I also meant clichéed, predictable, stereotyped, black-and-white characters, obvious inspiration from Mary Poppins/the story of those three orphans/etc.

I'm also surprised, it's playing in one single of the downtown theaters only, and for what I predict to be a very short time. It might not come from a big movie production company, hence the reduced exposure?

But over here it doesn't have much heavy competition - it's right after the Cesars ceremony, so all heavy weights made sure to get out some time before, right now it's more like the low season. And yet there's no advertisement, and as I said, theaters aren't exactly competing to show it.

Staunchly refuses to admit the remote possibility that her countrymen and -women might not appreciate the charms of a certain actor as much as they should.

Anyway, it's bound to be a DVD at some point in the future.
